GV Florida Transport - Luxury bus service - Manila to Banaue and other northern Luzon destinations - not a good web site with some wrong telephone numbers and incomplete information about their services.
There are many cheap flights to destinations within the Philippines through some of the discount airlines. You are more likely to get cheap tickets over the internet rather than by going into a travel agent. One way flights are usually half the price of return flights. Watch the baggage weight limits as your cheap flight may end up costing more than a regular one due to the excess baggage costs.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) - Probably the best airline to fly with for domestic flights. Their flights are not normally cheap though.
Cebu Pacific This is a budget airline. Anything that you want on the flight needs to be paid for, i.e. coffee, crisps, etc. Don't expect to be able to buy anything resembling a meal. Take note that their baggage limit is 15Kg and only 10Kg to Boracay. You may find it is cheaper to fly with a regular airline if you have lots of luggage. The baggage fee is P2000 per 5Kg on international flights and P500 per 5 Kg for local flights. If you fly from Shanghai to Cebu for example, you will need to pay extra baggage to Manila and then also to Cebu. There is 20% discount if you book your extra baggage online. They are well set up for internet bookings, which is why I often fly with them. My experience is that they are often late and are poorly setup to deal with customer complaints. Their customer service at the airport can be incredibly slow, and there are often long queues, If you have an interconnecting international flight, make sure you leave lots of time incase your Cebu Pacific flight is late. Cebu pacific operates out of the new modern airport terminal, Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. As of July 2009, only PAL Express and Cebu Pacific operate from there. The only way to the other terminals is by taxi.
Zest Air (formerly Asian Spirit)
Island Transvoyager Inc Has 2 Airplanes that fly Manila - El Nido only. They also provide charter flights. The site does not work sometimes but you can call then on +63 2 8515674
Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport - Information
about the airport terminals and flight information. It includes
flight departure and arrival information.
The four airport terminals listed below are all part of the
same airport but to transfer between terminals will require
you to catch a taxi and travel outside of the airport.
Terminal 1 - An old and overloaded
terminal out of which all international flights operate except
for Cebu Pacific and Philippines Airlines.
Terminal 2 - Only for Philippine
Airlines (PAL) flights. PAL international and domestic are in
the same building but different entrance doors.
Manila Domestic Airport - A very
old airport by any standards. All domestic flights operate out
of here except for PAL, PAL Express, Cebu Pacific and Island
Transvoyager.
Terminal 3 - The new terminal from
which all international flights will eventually operate. Currently
only Cebu Pacific and PAL Express operate from there.
